I see several visual artist names that I recognize, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Adrian Ghenie, and several others. Did any of these amazing visual artists paint any of the artworks in your collection? I also see that some of my favorite musicians are the subjects within some of the sections of the Artists Meet Artists artwork. Did they meet? Were they painted by any of the visual artists I see mentioned on your website or referenced within the titles of the artworks?

Each of the individual 25,600 pieces of generative art, collectively Artists Meet Artists, envisions one of 36 among the greatest musical artists of our lives having an opportunity to meet and be painted in the style of one of 69 of the greatest visual artists (painters) of the past six centuries, each distinctive square an artistic fantasy Artists Meet Artists pairing, most requiring time travel!

As an example, 1 of the 25,600 sections, named “Taylor Swift in the Style of Leonardo da Vinci   1” is, as described above, a transformative artwork that imagines a fantastical meeting whereby the Musical Artist Taylor Swift (1989 -     ) meets and is painted by the Visual Artist (Painter) Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519).

Obviously, such an imaginary meeting never happened, and never could happen. Time travel does not exist. Stated as simply and clearly as possible, obviously, Leonardo da Vinci, who died in 1519, more than 500 years ago, NEVER met, NEVER could meet, could NEVER paint or have EVER in the past painted Taylor Swift, because Taylor Swift was not born until 1989, 470 years after Leonardo da Vinci died.

FOR THOSE WHO MAY REQUIRE FURTHER EXPLANATION IN BOLD AND UPPER-CASE FONT SO YOU DO NOT MISS ANY OF OUR SIMPLE DISCLOSURES AND DISCLAIMERS:

LEONARDO DA VINCI AND TAYLOR SWIFT NEVER MET.

LEONARDO DA VINCI NEVER PAINTED A PAINTING OR RENDERED ANY OTHER TYPE OF ARTWORK WITH THE SUBJECT OR INSPIRATION BEING TAYLOR SWIFT.

IN THE SENTENCE ABOVE YOU CAN (i) REPLACE “TAYLOR SWIFT” WITH THE NAME OF ANY OTHER MUSICIAN TRANSFORMATIVELY ARTISTICALLY IMAGINITIVELY VISUALIZED AND GENERATED WITHIN ANY 1 OR MORE OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS OF THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS, AND YOU CAN (ii) REPLACE “LEONARDO DA VINCI” WITH THE NAME OF ANY OF THE 69 OR MORE OTHER VISUAL ARTISTS (PAINTERS) STYLES TRANSFORMATIVELY ARTISTCIALLY IMAGINITIVELY VISUALIZED AND GENERATIVELY CREATED IN ANY 1 OR MORE OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS OF AND WHICH COLLECTIVELY IS THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS. NO SUCH MEETING OR MEETINGS EVER OCCURRED. NOT ONE OF THE 36 OR MORE MUSICIANS TRANSFORMATIVELY ARTISTICALLY IMAGINITIVELY AI GENERATED WITHIN OR MENTIONED BY US IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER EVER MET, AND WAS NEVER PAINTED BY, ANY ONE OF THE 69 OR MORE VISUAL ARTISTS (PAINTERS) WHOSE STYLES ARE REFERENCED IN ANY 1 OR MORE OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS OF, AND WHICH COLLECTIVELY IS, THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS.

THE ENTIRE ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS GENERATIVE ARTWORK, AND EACH 1 OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS THEREIN THAT COLLECTIVELY IS THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS, IS A FANTASY. NO MUSICIAN THAT INSPIRED THE TRANSFORMATIVE IMAGINATIVE CREATIVE THOUGHTS BEHIND OUR CREATION OF THE ARTWORK, OR THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF ANY 1 OR MORE OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS THEREIN THAT COLLECTIVELY IS THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS, WHETHER THAT MUSICIAN IS NOW DEAD OR IS STILL LIVING TODAY, EVER MET ANY ONE OF THE VISUAL ARTISTS (PAINTERS) THAT INSPIRED US, WHETHER THAT VISUAL ARTIST (PAINTER) IS NO LONGER LIVING OR THAT VISUAL ARTIST (PAINTER) IS STILL LIVING TODAY, TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE (other than Drake and Damien Hirst, who reportedly met, however it was completely unrelated to Artists Meet Artists in any manner whatsoever).

TO BE REDUNDANTLY AND REPETITIVELY CLEAR, ANY OF THE 25,600 SECTIONS THAT COLLECTIVELY IS THE ARTWORK ARTISTS MEET ARTISTS IS AN ARTISTIC FANTASY.

Print Technology & Process

UV Printing technique on Digital Grade Acrylic with superior fade resistance for museum quality printing. Printed by UV Cured ink and 6 print heads with 3 staggered configuration at 1200dpi configuration. 2 units of unique highly-accurate linear scales controlled by IMS have been equipped for fine step accuracy and dot placement. This results in fewer banding artifacts (IMS = Intelligent Micro stepping System). Printing is implemented with generating passes, using a gradational mask pattern, and the UV curing is performed more gradually, diminishing the appearance of bandings.

Printing Resolution

1200 x 1200 optimized dpi Variable drops function simultaneously provides 3 different drop sizes. The minimum size is amazingly 4 pico-litter drop and produces smooth and natural gradation.

Ink

The color components of the UV ink are directly cured and adhered to the media or substrate by UV radiation, and the ink emits very low levels of VOC (volatile organic carbon). The LED (light-emitting diode) light does not radiate short wavelengths that generate ozone. Use of Mimaki UV-curable ink demonstrates consciousness about the environment and the health of the artworks production team.

Media Used

Printed on optically pure Digital Grade Acrylic sheet (1/8”, and 3/16” thick for 48” and larger artworks). Superior Clarity - a crystal-clear sheet maximizes visual impact. Digital print's show the superior adhesion properties optimal ink adhesion to that of standard acrylic after being cross hatched. This provides additional durability in handling, shipping, and installation.

Environmental care
Low-VOC ink and ozone-free LED–UV light.

Use, Care & maintenance

Always use a very soft microfiber or damp cloth. Does not require a special cleaner and any non-ammonia cleaner such as Windex can be used.
